Liberia International Christian College (LICC) is set to complete the construction of a second floor over its Nursing Building by June 2026. This important development project is made possible through the generosity of a kind anonymous donor and strong support from the United Liberia Inland Church Associates and Friends (ULICAF) fundraising initiative.
Both ULICAF and LICC are jointly implementing the project to strengthen the institution’s academic infrastructure and improve the learning environment for nursing students.
Why the Second Floor Is Needed
The construction of the second story serves several critical purposes:
1. Address Ongoing Water Leakage Issues
For some time, the building has experienced repeated water leakages through the roof walls during heavy rains. The new structure and roofing system will permanently resolve this issue and protect the demonstration lab and equipment from further damage.
2. Expand Academic and Administrative Space
The additional floor will provide:
- New classrooms
- Office space for faculty and staff
- Additional bathrooms, and
- A dedicated Nursing Library
This expansion will significantly improve teaching, learning, and administrative efficiency.
Project Phases
Due to limited funding, the project will be completed in two phases:
Phase 1
- Construction of the second-story structural framework
- Installation of roofing
Phase 2
- Completion of exterior walls
- Interior finishing and full completion of the second floor
This phased approach ensures steady progress while additional resources are secured.
Project Contractor
The construction work is being carried out by All for Christ Construction Company (AFCCC), a contractor selected to execute the project with professionalism and quality workmanship.
The second-floor expansion represents a major step forward for LICC’s Nursing Program and demonstrates the power of partnership, generosity, and vision in advancing educational excellence.
