Liberia International Christian College (LICC) invites applications from qualified current employees for the role of Director of Human Resources.

Position Summary
The Director of Human Resources provides leadership and oversight for the college’s human resources functions and serves as a trusted advisor to institutional leadership on personnel-related matters.
The Director of Human Resources supports the college by helping ensure effective recruitment, employment practices, employee relations, performance management, personnel administration, professional development, and compliance with applicable employment requirements.
This role is currently assigned as an additional administrative responsibility and may be held concurrently with another institutional role, subject to institutional policies and workload considerations.
The Director of Human Resources reports to the Vice President for Administration.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Human Resources Leadership and Administration
- Support the development and implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
- Advise supervisors and institutional leaders on personnel-related matters.
- Maintain personnel records and appropriate confidentiality standards.
- Assist in evaluating and improving HR systems and processes.
Recruitment and Employment
- Coordinate recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities.
- Support equitable and consistent employment practices.
- Assist with employment documentation and related processes.
Employee Relations and Performance Management
- Promote positive employee relations throughout the college.
- Assist with conflict resolution, employee concerns, and personnel matters.
- Support employee evaluation and professional development processes.
Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance
- Assist with compensation and benefits administration.
- Support compliance with applicable employment requirements.
- Assist with HR-related reporting and documentation.
Training and Organizational Development
- Coordinate employee training and development activities.
- Support leadership development and organizational improvement initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement and institutional effectiveness.
Teaching & Instruction
- Teach a partial course load (2 courses per semester or equivalent), including lecture, lab, or online instruction.
- Develop course materials, syllabi, assignments, and assessments in line with institutional and departmental standards.
- Maintain scheduled office hours to advise and support students.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field required.
Experience
- Demonstrated professional experience relevant to personnel administration, supervision, leadership, employee development, recruitment, organizational leadership, or related responsibilities.
- Minimum qualifications shall be interpreted consistent with the approved Director of Human Resources Job Description.
Employment Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a current employee of Liberia International Christian College.
- Have completed at least one year of service at LICC.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate one or more of the following:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Human resources leadership experience.
- Supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in higher education or other mission-driven organizations.
- Experience with recruitment, employee relations, policy administration, or employment compliance.
- Experience leading organizational improvement initiatives.
