The Students Academic Operational Party (SAOP), through its outgoing political leader and President Emeritus of the Liberia International Christian College (LICC), Nyah Flomo Jr., has donated two sets of high-quality jerseys to support the recently concluded interdepartmental league.
The presentation, made on May 5, 2026 in the college chapel just hours before the grand finale at the Gompa Sports Pitch, was facilitated through the efforts of SAOP’s co-chair, Ambassador G. Augustine Luogon, alongside other party stakeholders who lobbied for the availability of the sporting materials.
Speaking during the donation, Flomo reaffirmed SAOP’s continued commitment to student development, stating that the party will remain active in supporting student welfare and institutional growth “whether in power or not,” adding that SAOP will continue to make its presence felt whenever the need arises.
In addition to the jerseys, Flomo also sponsored the entry fees for 20 students to attend and witness the grand finale of the interdepartmental league held yesterday at the Gompa Sports Pitch.
Receiving the items, the Sports Director, Mr. Aloysius Makor, described the donation as timely and a significant boost to the success of the league, while assuring that the materials would be used effectively.
The President of LICC, Dr. Nuwoe James Kiamu, also expressed appreciation to SAOP, commending the organization for its contributions toward improving the institution and encouraging others to emulate the gesture.
This latest donation of jerseys and socks follows an earlier contribution by SAOP, which provided ten sachets of water to the departmental league, further highlighting the party’s consistent support for student activities.
